THE COMMONWEALTH GAMES 2022
With summer here, so is the once in a lifetime event: the Commonwealth Games 2022. There's been lots of exciting things happening up to the lead up of the opening ceremony. The Jewellery Quarter and Birmingham City Centre both had overhauls ready in time for the games. We spent a morning going to see the famous raging bull showcased in the opening ceremony. With the amazing celebrations going around on at the moment, it's truly incredible to be a part of the experience.
The huge statue is located in Centenary Square, right next to a tram stop. Only 10 minutes and 7 stops from the Library tram stop to the Jewellery Quarter.
Colourful banners close to the clock and various shops.
Perry the Bull waving to the baton holder on.
Signs scattered around the Jewellery Quarter to promote the Commonwealth Games.
While the games are running, there are many easy ways to find us in the Jewellery Quarter. With trams, trains, and busses all running as expected, the ways in which to see us while the Commonwealth is on are plentiful.
